Levanta Terms of Use, app version 1

1. Agreement

By using the app you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Levanta. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the app.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13. If you are under 18, use Levanta only with a parent's or guardian's permission.

3. What Levanta is

Levanta is an app that:

• reads product barcodes and shows information from public product databases
• reads ingredient lists from photos when a product is in no database
• checks QR codes, links, messages and screenshots for signs of scams (Scam Shield)
• answers questions through an AI assistant
• lets you invite friends

4. Accounts

An account is optional. Keep access to your email secure, because sign-in uses one-time codes sent to it. You are responsible for activity on your account. You can delete your account in the app at any time.

5. Information is general, not professional advice

• AI answers can be wrong. They are general information, not medical, legal, financial or safety advice. For medicines, Levanta does not give doses or advice; it points to official sources and to a pharmacist or doctor.
• Scam Shield shows warning signs, not certainty. A result with no warning signs does not prove a link or message is safe, and a warning does not prove fraud. Never share codes, passwords or card details, and contact your bank directly if you are unsure.
• Product information comes from third-party databases and can be incomplete or out of date. Always check the label, especially for allergies, and ask a pharmacist about medicines.
• Halal information is based on the information on the pack. Levanta does not issue religious rulings.

6. Subscriptions, credit and fair use

• Levanta offers optional monthly plans (Plus, Pro, Max) and extra credit, sold and billed by Apple through In-App Purchase. Prices are shown in the app, in your currency, before you buy.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account. Plans renew automatically each month unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel in your Apple Account settings. Apple handles refunds under its policies.
• Plans include generous everyday use. Fair use limits apply: to keep the service fast and affordable for everyone, very heavy use in a month may pause until the next month or until you add credit. Extra credit applies to your current plan.
• The product scanner and Scam Shield's quick check stay free. Free use of the assistant, ingredient photos and Scam Shield's deeper check has a daily allowance.
• A purchase is linked to the Levanta account that first activates it.

6a. Invite gift

When someone creates an account and enters your invite code, you and that person each receive 5 extra Levanta questions per day for 30 days from the day the code is used. The gift has no cash value, cannot be transferred or sold, and may end if codes are misused (for example self-invites or fake accounts).

7. Acceptable use

Do not use Levanta for fraud, harassment, unlawful content, scraping, reverse engineering, or interfering with the service. Do not use the assistant to create content that is illegal or that harms others.

8. Third-party services

Product data comes from the Open Food Facts family databases under the Open Database License, and from other public sources. Map data is (c) OpenStreetMap contributors. Directions open other apps under their own terms.

We may update these Terms with notice in the app. We may suspend accounts that break these Terms.
